12 January 2015 – Markon Solutions welcomes Emily Porter to the Operations Team as the new Senior Contracts Manager. Emily brings almost eleven years of experience to this extremely important role at Markon. Prior to coming to work for markon, Emily worked for FCi Federal for four years as a Contracts Director. FCi Federal did not possess a Contracts Department and therefore she had to build it herself from the ground up. She accomplished this during a period of extremely rapid growth as the company increased from $30M to $90M in annual revenue. Prior to working with FCi Federal, Emily worked for Whitney, Bradley & Brown in Reston, VA as Senior Contract Administrator, where she gained additional experience managing contracts and participating in proposal efforts including pricing production and preparation. In addition to Government Contracts Management, some examples of the experience Emily has gained includes:

  • Solicitation Review
  • Developing Pricing Models
  • Content Development
  • Agreement Review and Negotiating
  • Contract Terms and Conditions Negotiation
  • Training and Mentoring

Emily’s education includes an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from LSU and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. We are excited to have Emily on board and we are confident that she will be a tremendous addition to the team.
