15 Jan Leadership Development Program Wine Tasting
Leaders of a growing firm can find themselves in many different situations when meeting with potential clients and business partners. Sometimes meetings can be strictly business, sometimes more social in nature and sometimes a little of both. Meetings are not always in an office or conference room, it could take place over a cocktail or a meal. Wine can be fun and enjoyable but it can also be a bit intimidating, especially in a business environment. Being familiar with wine can help build bridges and business relationships.
In December, the Leadership Development Program (LDP) team took a trip to attend an Executive Wine Tasting training held by Dominion Wine and Beer.
The tasting featured wines from around the world (including California, New Mexico, France, Spain, Argentina, and Australia) and included Chardonnay, Red Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz.
Our guides were Afsheen and Arash Tafakor. The guides taught the Leaders about how to taste wine based on the (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach including appearance, noes, palate, and conclusions.
Below are some photos of the event. Thank you to Dominion Wine and Beer. Stop by sometime for a wine tasting or a recommendation!
